Hi to every ghanaians,today am unveiling to you the new internet GPRS settings for all network in ghana including Mtn,Airtel,Tigo,Vodafone,Glo and Expresso,now this settings are the latest and doe and they are working right now even mostly on low chinco phones which we know are stubborn when it comes to configuration.
In this tutorial,we will follow a step by step simple and easy approach to make it simple and easy even if it's a novice to grab and implement on his or her phone without any problem or issues,just chill and follow me gradually with my below configuration.
INTERNET GPRS CONFIGURATION FOR VODAFONE NETWORK
1] Go to menu then settings wireless and networks
2] In the wireless and settings options
select mobile networks.
3] In the mobile network option select Access point Names
4] In the Apns [your's might be empty,just don't worry continue press options on your phone keypad and go for new APN
5] In the APN Settings go for Name and input your preferred name there and press ok
6] Now go for APN and type in internet then press ok
7] That's it The new Apn you created would be listed in the APNs list,just check it.your internet Access should now be available.
VODAFONE GHANA MANUAL GPRS INTERNET CONFIGURATION SETTING
1] IP: 172.024.097.001
2] PORT: 8080
3] APP: WAP
4] HOMEPAGE:www.vodafone.com.gh
INTERNET SETTINGS FOR VODAFONE GHANA (for China phones)
This settings is meant for those stubborn China phones that refuse to get Internet access. With these settings, these type of phones will bow down and to Internet browsing. just simply apply any of the two method below and you are good to go.
FIRST METHOD (DATA SETTINGS)
1] Go to service in your phone menu and select data account.
2] click on any item there to edit or add new if your phone has the option
3] Set the NAME to Ghana Vodafone or any other name suitable for you
4] Set the APN or access point to WAP
5] Leave every other option blank and choose ok to save, you can now proceed to the second method below.
SECOND METHOD: (INTERNET SERVICE SETTINGS)
1] Go to Internet Settings in the services menu
2] choose settings
3] choose edit account
4] If asked to select a Sim, select the Sim which contains your MTN
5] choose an account to edit (one that you don't use)
6] Name: Ghana Vodafone
7] Homepage:enter Google.com or other url
7] Data account: choose the one we created in the previous part.
8] connection type: choose HTTP(even if it already choosen)
9] Use proxy:yes
10] proxy Adress:172.024.097.001
11] proxy port: 8080 leave all other things empty.
12] finally,save it and choose activate and you are don and good to go.

2] APN:wap
3] proxy:172.017.003.005
4] port:8080
5] no username or password
Alternatively, to automatically receive the settings on your phone, you can send a blank text
message in SMS to the number 686 from your mtn Sim via your mobile phone, just save the configuration messages as soon as it comes in to your phone and also make sure you select it as your default access point.
Kindly save the settings you just received, to your phone and also be sure MTN data is selected as the default access point,also don't forget that you can also call MTN customer care line on 111 if you may encounter any problems or issues with the network.
